What currency are payment charges in?
All payments are charged in Australian Dollars and include GST for Australian Residents. This course is really geared up for Australian Workplace Legislation but the frameworks can be used globally if you mix it with your countries legislation and Workplace Laws.
Can't i just do this alone? Why do I need a course?
You absolutely can go it alone. That is what I did when I started, I wish I hadn’t though. I wasted several years trying to figure it all out. I would have loved to have had a support group and a mentor in my early days. And when it comes to workplace legislation the fines for breaching General Protections as an example can be as high as $63,000. That is a lot of lost income just by trying to figure it out yourself!


You may have well picked up that I am A New Zealander (AKA KIWI)  I left New Zealand in 1996 on a two year working holiday that lasted 17 years 🙂 The joke goes – “I left with a 20 kilo backpack and moved to Australian in 2011 with a 20×20 ft container and two kids”.

When i got to Australia I struggled to get a job as i was “overqualified“, “under qualified”, “no local exposure” and “no local knowledge” – so I employed myself. Fresh HR Insights Pty Ltd started in 2012 and has brought together over a decade of experience both Internationally and Nationally.

What I found in my early days is that support was lacking – or support that did not cost you an arm and a leg. I also found that once you signed up to something and the sales talk was over you became a number and were left to defend for yourself – NOT COOL!!

I know from experience that it is not only workplace experience that helps you understand why people do what they do but life experience and qualifications. After travelling around the UK, Europe, and some of America I have  these in abundance which means there is very little that i have not seen when it comes to workplace styles, bad, good and really evil managers as wll as the AWESOME ones that you just LOVE working for. I have pulled all this together in my course and also the experience that i get as a Griffith University University Lecturer, Convenor and Tutor.
